LEO Love Painting

I went to another paint night! This time, it was an event for first responder's supporters. It was a small group, about eight in total. Half of us made the fire fighter version of the painting and the other half made the police officer version.

This was such an easy painting. You could totally adapt this and try it on your own. The only really nice part was that the company who put the paint night on had a die-cutter and so the L<3VE was one big piece of adhesive backed cardstock. We just layered paint over and over and over, sometimes with sponges, stencils or other textured mediums. The more contrast you had, the better it looked! I was probably the slowest/ most meticulous in my group, but if I'm paying for this I want to make it look fantastic!!!

Someone suggested that our hearts be red and the middle and I LOVED how it turned out!

We used this modge podge and silver paper combo for the badge itself. Basically the modge podge was added first, allowed to dry until "tacky" and then rubbed on to the paper which transferred the silver.

Now, I've framed the picture and put it in my partner and my room! I purchased a simple black picture frame from michael's and took the glass and backing out completely. It's just secured on the back with some packing tape, but until I decide where I actually want to hang it that works perfectly!
